Dead Inside Podcasts Episode 8: George Chua
In this episode of Dead Inside Podcasts, we welcome Singapore based producer George Chua to deliver his interpretation of a post apocalyptic landscape.
Dabbling with the modular arts, George is a purveyor of raw, intense and intricate sound designs that are open to a multitude of aural interpretations. Since his recent release on Ujikaji Records in September 2020, George actively reinvents himself with his ever evolving style of musical composition as he constantly seeks the meaning of what it means to be human through everyday practices.
George is an artist based in Singapore, active since the late nineties. As an instigator and explorer of the other worldly potential of sound, he has no interest in developing a singular style or genre of music. Apart from his solo work and performances, his collaborative interests include live improvisation with sound, unconventional strategies for soundtracks and sound design for film and theatre.
This mix was recorded and streamed on Hong Kong Community Radio at 20:00 SGT/HKT, 29 January 2021, as part of our residency.
